Fugro Nigeria Limited (FNL) started operations on the 20th of June 1990 as Prodec and Associates Nigeria Limited in Port - Harcourt Nigeria, offering environmental management and laboratory services.
In 1995, Fugro N.V of The Netherland purchased 50% of Prodec and Associates Nigeria Limited, and the company became known as Prodec - Fugro Limited. In 2004, Fugro N.V acquired the remaining 50% shares of Prodec and Associates in Prodec - Fugro Limited, and merged it with Fugro-IGN Limited another 100% company of Fugro to form the company Fugro Consultants Nigeria Limited (FCNL). Fugro Consultants Nigeria Limited is now integrated with Fugro Survey Nigeria Limited to form Fugro Nigeria Limited, a wholy indigenous Fugro company.
FNL has 106 strong and virile staff and they are all Nigerians. FNL provides Geotechnical/Soil Investigation, Soil Testing Services, Survey Services as well as Environmental and Laboratory services; to Oil and Gas, Construction and Land Development, Water Resources, Ports and Harbor, Mining and Power, Industrial Plants, Public Works, and many other sectors of the Nigerian and African economy.
