Fugro Nigeria Limited (FNL) started operations on the 20th of June 1990 as Prodec and Associates Nigeria Limited in Port - Harcourt Nigeria, offering environmental management and laboratory services.
In 1995, Fugro N.V of The Netherland purchased 50% of Prodec and Associates Nigeria Limited, and the company became known as Prodec - Fugro Limited. In 2004, Fugro N.V acquired the remaining 50% shares of Prodec and Associates in Prodec - Fugro Limited, and merged it with Fugro-IGN Limited another 100% Fugro company to form the company Fugro Consultants Nigeria Limited (FCNL). FNL is now a market leader in Geotechnical, Geo-environment Consulting, Survey and Laboratory & Testing services.
